Compassion in Action

Contemplation and Action are two sides of the same coin. Eventually, the experience of our "inner life" and that of our "outer world" become a mirror that each reflects the light of the other.  The natural effect of a well developed contemplative life is the expression of compassion, kindness and a sensitivity towards all living creatures. These are the fruits of deep and sustained practice. Having a daily meditation practice is a good beginning, but only a beginning. Eventually, our meditation must be taken out into the marketplace where we selflessly give it away.   Living the Compassionate Life
