Daily Life is Practice

A fundamental concept in mind science is the idea that "thoughts held in mind produce after like kind." In essence, what we give our attention to grows and manifests in our life. Armed with this knowledge it is wise therefore to be attentive and mindful of the thoughts that I entertain in my experience. The best inner work is done at the point of incoming impressions. Thoughts and events occur as they may, but the way I perceive them depends on me and my own level of awareness in the present moment. If I have practiced creating a space in my inner experience between what comes in and how I react to these incoming impressions, then I am able to respond more consciously. The more consciousness that I can bring to each moment, the more that I serve as a positive influence to those around me. Oh the power and gift of deep contemplative practice.   Daily Life is Practice
